Challenges of replicating in-service responses at the component level with MIMO vibration control testing strategies

This work presents results of an extensive measurement campaign, performed with the BARC (Box Assembly with Removable Component). This test bed for environmental testing is designed to study the influence of different boundary conditions. Time Waveform Replication and Multi-Input Multi-Output Random control strategies are used in order to replicate the exact operational environment at the component level. Different tests are run with the full-assembly and at the component level. A comparison of these two techniques is performed in terms of PSDs and mode shapes.
